Relative In uence of Camera Alignment Errors on 3 D StereoscopicMeasurements

چکیده
We present in this paper a new analysis of relative sensitivity/importance of calibra-tion/alignment parameters on the performance of stereoscopic depth reconstruction. This quantitative analysis provides formulae which relate diierent parameter errors to the 3D reconstruction measurements. The results of this analysis provide specii-cations of acceptable tolerances in individual calibration parameters for given 3D measurement error tolerances. This information is useful in designing practical stereoscopic vision systems.

E ects of Camera Alignment Errors on StereoscopicDepth
We present in this paper a new analysis of relative sensitivity/importance of camera calibra-tion/alignment parameters on the performance of stereoscopic depth reconstruction. For a given stereoscopic vision system, once stereo correspondence is successfully established, the accuracy of 3D measurements depends on the overall geometric structure of the model in relation to object distances. The ...
متن کاملInvestigation of the effect of source distance and scattering medium on spatial resolution and contrast of Gamma camera images [Persian]
By identifying the effect of any parameter such as distance, attenuation and scattering on the Line Spread Function (LSF), one can compensate the quantitative and qualitative destructive effect of such parameters by deconvolution method. Using a 99mTC line source, this study was performed on a single head ADAC SPECT system operating in planar mode. Variation of FWTM and FWHM and LSFs as a...
متن کاملConstruction and exploitation of a 3D model from 2D image features
This paper proposes a trainable computer vision approach for visual object registration relative to a collection of training images obtained a priori. The algorithm first identifies whether or not the image belongs to the scene location, and should it belong, it will identify objects of interest within the image and geo-register them. To accomplish this task, the processing chain relies on 3-D ...
متن کاملFusion of range camera and photogrammetry: A systematic procedure for improving 3-D models metric accuracy
The generation of three-dimensional (3-D) digital models produced by optical technologies in some cases involves metric errors. This happens when small high-resolution 3-D images are assembled together in order to model a large object. In some applications, as for example 3-D modeling of Cultural Heritage, the problem of metric accuracy is a major issue and no methods are currently available fo...
متن کاملIs Super-Resolution with Optical Flow Feasible?
Reconstruction-based super-resolution frommotion video has been an active area of study in computer vision and video analysis. Image alignment is a key component of super-resolution algorithms. Almost all previous super-resolution algorithms have assumed that standard methods of image alignment can provide accurate enough alignment for creating super-resolution images. However, a systematic stu...
